Central Placements are Cooperative Education placements that are coordinated centrally through the DSBN Experiential Learning Coordinator. Some employers receive a significant amount of interest from students looking to complete a placement at their work sites and have requested to have a single contact point with the school board.
A list of Central Placements employers, placement opportunities and application requirements will be sent to the Cooperative Education Program Lead at each of our DSBN high schools prior to the start of each semester. To maintain the integrity of the Co-op program, students, parents and teachers are asked not to contact Central Placements employers or attempt to bypass this process. The specific application procedures and requirements provided to Co-op Leads must be followed for these employers in order for students to be considered for a placement.
